Bubor Cha Cha is truly a unique dish of its own. The sweetness of the dessert together with the yams, sweet potatoes all compliment each other very well. Personally, I like it hot or warm as it runs very well down your throat, just like warm honey,

  Ingredients

  • 1/2 small yam ( cut into dices or diamond shapes )
  • 1 sweet potato ( cut into dices of diamond shapes )
  • 1 grated coconut ( 1/2 tea-cup of first milk, 1-1 1/2 pint of second milk )
  • boiling water
  • red and green colouring
  Spices
There are no spices for this dish

  Directions
1 Place the cut yam and sweet potato to steam for 15-20 minutes or till soft. ( Do not over-cook as they will break into small bits. )

2 Place the cut yam and sweet potato to steam for 15-20 minutes or till soft. ( Do not over-cook as they will break into small bits. )

2 Place the second coconut milk into a saucepan, add the yam, sweet potatoes, pandang leaves, large bananas and salt and bring to a boil.

3 Add sugar to taste, then add the cooked starch balls and boil till the star balls rise to the surface. Add the thick coconut milk. Serve hot or chilled.

  Cook's Tip
Bubor Cha Cha may be served cold by adding crushed ice to it.
