Spaggy Spice is my own personal recipe. Having eaten a variety of spaghetti dishes, i found many of them lacking the extra oomph which i felt was necessary. Thus, I came up with my own concoction where spice and hotness were the key ingredients in this fabulous dish.

  Ingredients

  • 1-2 hand-fulls of spaghetti
  • 1 can 250ml tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoon of hot chilli sauce
  • 500 grams of minced meat, shaped into meatballs
  • 300 grams of mozzarella cheese, cut into 3 even chunks.
  • 1 can 250 grams of button mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoon of oil
  Spices
  • 4 tablespoons of grounded black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of grounded white pepper

  Directions
1 Boil the spaghetti for approx. 30-35 minutes on medium high heat with lid on. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Heat the oil up in a separate pan. Stir fry the onions till slightly golden.

2 Next, pour in the can of tomato sauce. Fill the empty can with water and pour in the water. That gives your 1 part tomato sauce and 1 part water. Stir until water is mixed with sauce.

3 Add in the meatballs, hot chilli sauce and button mushrooms, both types of pepper. Cook the sauce for about 5 minutes.

4 Place the cheese onto 3 plates. Once the spaghetti is cooked, place it on the cheese. Lastly, scoop out the sauce onto the spaghetti.

5 Serve Hot !

  Cook's Tip

  • To check if spaghetti is cooked, cut it in two and the center should have a tiny white dot.
  • For a more spicier taste, Tabasco sauce can be added.
  • You can substitute the can of tomato sauce with ready made sauce.
  • An alternative method to cook the meatballs is to first pan fry the meatballs till golden brown. With this method, dice onions and mix it together with the minced meat and then form the meatballs. Top the spaghetti with the meatballs, do not cook together.
  • Alternatively, you can use your own recipe of meatballs, nothing best of dishes with your personal touch !
